I have been using this type of Roman Chair in both the studio and gym where I train and I was skeptical, because of the price, if the Apex Roman Extension Bench would compare. I couldn’t be happier with the sturdy construction and excellent design of this bench – it’s one of the favorites among my clients and it is, by far, my absolutely favorite. I like that it can be used for both back extensions (by lying prone on the pad) and abs (by sitting on the pad with legs extended and doing modified “sit ups.”) It is perfect for someone with a sensitive back (because you are completely in charge of the range of motion you use) and it really allows you to target your abs because you can move through a much bigger range of motion and doing traditional sit ups on the floor. I HIGHLY recommend this equipment. It takes up very little space, it’s extremely well made and not hard to put together. It’s the best buy/best bargain purchase I have made for my studio!

Apex Roman Chair is a great product at a great price. I found it very easy to assemble. Im 6′1″ 190lbs the roman chair fits me fine, im pretty picky about the fit of hyper extension machines but this one didn’t bother me at all. I can extend all the way down and up with out hitting my head on the frame. For the money its a great buy. I bought this treadmill right at the new year. I agree with others that, 1) Inside delivery is important unless you have 2 other people to help you; 2)the fans are weak but ok; 3)the sound system is good enough but you can’t control the mp3 player through the machine which is a little inconvenient while running; 4)I find the unit very stable (I am 6ft, 190lbs and run for an hour at 7.3). My one negative is that I don’t think they do a good job of lubricating the belt/deck very well because there is black dust that accumulates on the floor behind the end of the treadmill. This is obviously from the friction caused from the belt scraping the deck. They do provide you with a tube of lubrication, but the instructions say that this is for future lubrication, not immediate application during initial set-up. The company told me that sometimes this happens when the treadmills sit in the warehouses for long periods before getting delivered, but even so, it seems like a pain that I am going to have to lube the deck myself since I just bought it. I haven’t done it yet, but hopefully it is an easy process. But even with that being said, I still think it is a really good treadmill that I would recommend to others. More…

I started rowing at my gym, where they used the concept2 model D. After awhile, I found that mostly what I was doing at the gym was using the rower, so I decided to buy my own. Maybe expensive, but not really when I know that I’ll probably be using this rower for the rest of my life (I’m 40 now). It holds up really well. The concept2s at the gym are used heavily and show no signs of wear other than that the instructional stickers on the frame have been worn off.

I have put over 3,780,000 meters on mine with 488 workouts with an average time per workout of 45 minutes. It has held up beautifully with very little maintenance other than occasionally lubing the chain (which is very easy to do; I prefer to use my bike lube).

I really like that they send you the concept2 newsletter as well and it has been useful and motivating. You also become a member of this concept2 user community that is out there and you can post your stats on the web site and compete in events and stuff, though I haven’t done these things yet. It is nice to be part of the community even if you don’t really participate in it.

I like to watch tv as I row. I do have to turn up the volume fairly loud (the rower is not noisy exactly, but it can be hard to hear dialog sometimes; dvds with no english subtitles piss me off). The sound of the rower itself is actually kind of relaxing and sounds similar to a fan being turned off and on).

This and my powerblock weight set are investments I’m really happy with and I’ll be using for the rest of my life. More…

I wanted to get into shape and living in Seattle, Washington we just don’t have the right type of weather for a 3-4 day a week jog schedule. (Always raining) I turned to the internet and did ALL the research to find the cheapest and best reviewed treadmill. Guess what, this was it. Now I know why it was so highly reviewed too. The price on this treadmill is amazing. How can you ask for a better deal. Second, it features all of the features you can ask for. It moves up and down to simulate jogging uphill, has tons of speed settings, and tons of other great options. It goes as fast or as slow as you could ask for. (faster than I can run and I’m 17 and 6′3″ 165 pounds) Finally, its stability is pretty good. Holds up great and was easy to put together. My brother is 250 pounds and runs on it and does fine. Sure, its a little small for him but he manages it. I wouldn’t recommend this for a very large person however. If your over 300 pounds, definitely find a bigger one. Its not very wide and not very long but both me and my brother are 6′3″ and hes fairly heavy and we both are comfortable on it. It moves around while jogging on hard wood floor so you might want to buy a mat to put under it otherwise you will be jumping off periodically to adjust its position. The only problem I noticed was that when I first started jogging some black shavings from the tread of it came off but has since stopped. Overall, buy this treadmill. It’s perfect. Gazelle Edge Review
I was surprised at how great this machine is. The first time I got on it was harder than I thought; but the thing I found out was that when my legs started to get tired I could use my arms to take up the slack a bit and vica versa. I burned 500 plus calories in 20 minutes! In the neutral position the Gazelle seems to gently make you keep up a steady pace. When you lean forward (and back) you use a different set of muscles in each position. And I work up a sweat each time I use this thing. The directions advise to have two people put this cycle together, but I was able to do it by myself without breaking a sweat. One part of the instructions is incorrect, asking you to use three washers when you really need four (you’ll figure it out by looking at the drawn instructions). This product to me is an alright product. I’ve been using it at 99 on the fourth level for the last 3 months. In order to get the washboard abs you are looking for you have to diet and exercise, which is something they fail to mention in the commercials. I work my midsection at a gym regularly and use the slendertone in between visits and I will say in my part that it does supplement the build up of core strength, and my abs are looking the best they have been in years.

I have not started using my belt yet but instead was just looking at purchasing replacements ahead of time. I noticed that on Amazon the 9 pad refill is $10 cheaper then the Slendertone website but you still have to ad shipping on the Amazon order because it’s 5 cents away from qualifying for the free shipping. If you order 18 pads then you certainly qualify for free shipping with a total of $49.90. But if you order 18 pads from Slendertone the price is only 9 cents more $49.99 with free shipping as well. Speaking for myself, I would rather by the product from the original creator instead of Amazon if the price is only 9 cents difference for 18 pads. Can’t wait to start using this to see how it works and will be back for a product review in a few weeks.

Didn’t buy these for myself, rather for my girlfriend, who has the belt these pads are used for. She swears by the belt and these pads are the exact replacement pads, so she was happy. As long as she’s happy, I’m happy, but since I didn’t try these out myself, I can not rate them any higher than 4 stars.

I bought these pads because they were a good deal and I didn’t want to order pads again as quickly. However, these pads seem to not stick as well to the belt as my old pads and my old pads provided a more comfortable buffer from the shock but overall the pads are manageable as long as you are careful when removing your belt and start at a lower intensity level.

I bought this Ab Rocket about a month ago, and for starters it was way to small for me because I am over 6 ft tall. For starters I had to try to rip the top plastic caps off and that took a while to do, then I had to try and find 2 wooden poles that would fit into the pipes so I can make the head rest higer up on the machine so that it would at least come some what close to the back of my head for support….and then after all of that, when it came to the tension in the 3 different sets of springs that they gave you, well lets just say that the springs that was suppost to be the hardest…well they did not really put any kind of hard tension at all on my workouts….but other then that, I guess the machine might do something to help lose your stomach…lol.

I ordered the Ab Rocket about 6 or 7 weeks ago. It arrived quickly and was easy to put together. This device is good in assisting with sit-ups and leg lifts. I am very pleased with my purchase and I am still using it. I have lost 10 pounds in the last 6 weeks and no doubt the Ab Rocket is part of the reason, but I am also using the “Thigh Master” and hand weights, and doing my best to eat healthier. Another good thing is it does not take up a lot of space. If you already have strong stomach muscles and can do sit-ups without assistance I would see no reason to get this, but if you have allowed yourself to get out of shape like me, it is helpful. It is advertised that the rollers feel like a massage on your back and that the device will support your neck. For me, it does not feel like a massage (though it does provide support while still strengthening your stomach and lower back), and it does not provide neck support like I was hoping. I still recommend the product to the out of shape individual with weak stomach and back muscles.
